Decorative linear lighting along landscaped paths and outdoor step edges

Lighting in Context

Consider the Environment Around the Light

The lighting run is only one part of an outdoor installation. Describe the surrounding surfaces, water exposure and connection positions so the proposed assembly can be reviewed for its intended use.

01

Landscape Features & Paths

Trace a landscape edge or feature with a decorative light line. Show the lighting route, ground conditions, mounting and connection positions.

02

Step & Terrace Details

Define the intended visible edge and protected mounting position. Consider access, drainage and physical exposure; decorative lighting is not a substitute for required safety lighting.

03

Exterior Architectural Accents

Follow an exterior recess or feature with a planned light path. Include the installation height, support, bends and the exposure of every connection.

Product Selection

Review Outdoor Suitability by Product and Assembly

LED Neon Flex

A potential format for a continuous flexible light line. Outdoor suitability and the complete connection arrangement must be confirmed for the quoted model.

Accessories

End caps, mounting parts, cables and connectors are selected for the actual product and exposure. A visually similar part does not establish a compatible or sealed assembly.

Custom Extrusion

Review a silicone section around a particular mounting or installation interface. A custom shape alone does not establish an outdoor rating for the finished lighting assembly.

Common Questions

Before You Choose

Is every LED neon flex product suitable for outdoor use?

No. Confirm suitability for the selected model and complete installation, including cable exits, end caps, joints and power connections. Appearance alone does not establish protection against the intended exposure.

Does a silicone housing make an assembly waterproof?

A housing alone does not establish the protection of the finished assembly. Openings, ends, connections and installation details must be reviewed together with the relevant product data.

Can the lighting be submerged, buried or installed where people step on it?

Do not assume these uses are permitted. Submersion, burial and mechanical loading are separate requirements that need explicit product and installation evidence before a configuration can be selected.

Can decorative step lighting replace required safety lighting?

This page addresses decorative lighting applications. Emergency, escape-route and other safety-lighting functions require a separately specified solution and appropriate professional review for the project.

What should I provide for an outdoor lighting quotation?

Send the location, route, installation section, lengths and quantity, with photographs where available. Describe exposure, drainage, mounting, connections, power access and the required product documentation so suitability can be reviewed.
